I am being a bad boy and using the computer.

After not seeing cockroaches in my house for more than 5 years, i saw 2 in a row yesterday. Screams. And 1 was in my room. I almost died. But nevermind the cockroach ended up dying instead =)

Hai, CTs are obviously coming up as the entire world knows so if you're a student reading this then you're a bad student. Should be mugging!! xD. I am super duper slow and behind time and will confirm do super duper badly coz i only started studying on Sat after i came back.

Hee looking at chorale blog now and chalet pictures. JAC YOU'RE SO BIMBO!!! HAHAHA.

Okay as usual i am being super random.

Anyway, hols were super fun and relaxing. I put on the 4kg i lost prior to going off. Heh. So yes i am like fat and rounder again. Alaska was really nice. It's very not big city kind of place. And like nobody cares about fashion and stuff there so like everyone just dresses to the weather and all. Althought it was supposed to be like late spring or something, there was like snow and stuff because it was still really cold.

So toured alaska on land for 3 days, going from place to place, taking trains. It was really just relaxing and a big waste of time. But like enjoying all the wild life and clean air is just a nice change from all the pollution around. The air there smells sweet all the time because of all the plants and flowers and trees and everything. Hardly any pollution!!

It was the 7 day cruise after that. Whee that was when i got fat man. Food on board is free. So go restaurants to eat (expect the special ones) is free as well. Like can order appetiser, soup, salad, main course (2 if you like) dessert (3 if you like) and ya don't have to pay. So naturally, everyone eats more. Morning breakfast is buffet, and everyone eats a lot in buffets. Lunch and dinner is that restaurant style with like how many dishes. So you can imagine how much i ate =) Haha!

We docked 3 times in 3 different places in Alaska. The first place we were supposed to take a helicopter onto some glacier and dog sled, but unfortunately the weather was quite bad so it got cancelled. So we try to hurry up book and managed to get to go horse riding (my sister was estatic coz she's like this weird horse lover) and ouch i had like inner thigh muscle ache the next day. Ride horse for like >1 hour is no joke. Hee. Then my poor sister (the other one who doesn't really fancy horses) got a super naughty horse that started cantering halfway and she got super frightened. Haha! So like the guide brought her horse to the front and held the reins for her. Then her horse kept trying to bite the guide's horse so like the guide ended up punching her horse before it stopped. Quite amusing heh. So like ride through the forest and stuff so that was when it was suuuper nice like the air was the purest air i've ever breathed that kind. =) Afternoon went dog sleding. But not on the glacier though, on the ground.

Oh. Huskies are TOTALLY not those fluffy kind you see on tv. Like normal huskies that are used for racing actually all look so different from each other. Majority of those i saw were in fact all short haired. And their coats and face shape and sizes are all different. So yar it's quite interesting. Because like they're all mixed and bred here and there so there is like a huge variety. Fun fun got to carry a baby huskie (which was huge). Super cute =D

So back on ship and eat super full dinner. Oh yar anyway our room on the ship was super duper squeezy. Because it's meant for 2 people, but coz got 3 of us (my 2 sisters and me) so they opened like this bed that dropped from the ceiling so it's essentially a double deck bed. We had a balcony though so can stand outside and look outside. But it was really cold most of the time, so ya.

2nd place we stopped at we went whale watching. Humpback whales!! Most of the time just get to see their tails and stuff la. But haha it was interesting and nice and well, don't get to see whales everyday!! So anyway most of the towns like the first one (Skagway) and this one called Juneau are all super small towns. Skagway's the smallest and has like no roads leading into it. So everything is either by air or sea. Oh super funny they have this school that's like i think all the way from young to high school or something. Then it's only 120 people, and last year 4 people graduated from that school. Hahaha. That's how small it is. Oh and it's filled with jewellery stores. Like 19 of them in that small town. And like there's 1 bank, 1 post office, and 1 of all the necessary stuff but 19 jewellery stalls. They don't have like even 1 official doctor there i think. So if someone gets really sick, then must airlift them to Juneau which is a larger town.

So yes went back on the cruise and cruised over night. Then in the day we cruised to this glacier. Went right up to it. It was BIIIIG. Wow but glaciers are really just WOW. Haha! And it's quite sad la, because our cruise ship kinda just stoned in front of it for an hour. Then if you keep watching, blocks and chunks of ice just keep dropping from the glacier into the sea. So it's like global warming and receding glaciers and rising sea water action right in front of our eyes. Haha! So then the ship turned around and let the other people on the other side watch for another hour (yes it may sound very HUH and like lame but it's soooo peaceful and quiet and the water doesn't even move that it's just nice standing there watching this massive piece of ice) before sailing off.

Actually i might have got the order wrong. OH oops. The glacier was on the 2nd day before we even docked the first time. Sorreh, cut and paste to the post before horse riding. =)

Okay anyway after Juneau (where there was no more glacier sighting) sailed overnight again and docked in Ketchikan where we went -gasp- kayaking. Yar like OBS except this one's better coz it's more stable and has a RUDDER. So ya i was sitting behind while my sis sat in front. She has absolutely no sense of steering so ya. So just press my foot to the left if i wanna turn left, press to the right if i wanna turn right. So much easier than OBS haha. So it was just like to be bo liao and kayak around la. Nothing much to see. But THEN when we were arriving back to shore, guess what we saw.

KILLER WHALES. It was super duper freaky can because we're at sea level and they were like 200 m away from us. And all we can see is the fin sticking out of the water and that was so big it was so scary already. Imagine if like we could see the entire whale. And killer whales actually kill and eat like other whales. Not sure if they ate humans but i wasn't willing to find out. My sister was like 'LET'S GO CLOSER AND SEE OMGOMGOMG' and i was like 'THANK GOD I HAVE THE POWER TO CONTROL OUR KAYAK SO WE CAN STEER AWAY'. So kinda stoned there staring in awe for a long time before we suddenly realised everyone else had left (either in fear or we were really stoning for damn long) and then faster kayak back to shore. Phew! On our whale watching and stuff in Juneau only got to see humpback whales which eat shrimp and small stuff. Yar. They look completely different from killer whales.

So back to the ship. Ate big fat dinner and then next day cruised for a full day at sea before cruising overnight again and finally arriving in Vancouver, Canada the next morning!! So yeah got off then went to the hotel. And then shopping!! Haha! For that whole day and the next day in canada. Mostly bought clothes. Oh you know, starbucks has like totally invaded and colonized vancouver. I come out of my hotel, turn right, i see starbucks, turn left, i see starbucks. Literally. I was like HUH didn't i see a starbucks on my left??? So ya in 1 street, i saw 6 starbucks. Like same road. Then got one super funny. It's a cross road. Then at 2 corners are 2 starbucks facing each other. I was so amused. Like hmm oh this starbucks is crowded let's cross the road to the other one! So in total i saw 7 starbucks in 2 streets in 2 days.

So after 2 days in Vancouver, coz we flew Cathay Pacific, so flew to Hong Kong and spent 2 more days there. MORE SHOPPING. Muahaha. I only saw 2 starbucks there though. Hm the pollution there is like really bad. Because hong kong has like a harbour right, then looking across to the other side with all the buildings, most of the time it looks like it's covered in fog or as if it's raining that kind. Quite bad. Or maybe i just came from alaska where it was super clean haha. Vast difference from like lazy relaxing kind of lifestyle to busy city lifestyle. Ah well.

Oh HEE i almost died of shock when i saw Ms Lim in Hong kong. It was really a coincidence but she didn't hear me when i called her name though. So after 2 days of shopping, came home and well. BACK TO REALITY which i'm still not embracing because i'm here blogging about my holiday -.-

SIIIIGH okay anyway i've managed to be vaguely disciplined and uproot my stuff to the library where there's NO COMPUTER to distract me. Hee. Okay. I think i better go off and study now it's been almost an hour haha. And my sister is bugging me to decide what to eat for lunch -.-

Okay if you survived reading this post, it's time to go and STUDDDDDY coz it probably took you quite a while to read it HAHA. =) Good luck everyone for CTs!!
