That's 2 bars worth of the rhythmic part of pokpok.
At the end of the day, i really don't care that we practically didn't have any free time, or many chances to eat lunches on our own, or even shopping time. What i really really wish to treasure are the good memories. And i think the end of the trip is not only just the end of the trip, but also the end of the whole 1.5 years with chorale, and to a more specific extent, with the batch of 07/08.
Honestly when i think back on the last 1.5 years in RJ, i only really think about chorale and not like my class or OG or whatever though i know it's quite bad but i mean the truth is that chorale is really the place where i find the most joy and happiness, from the music, the singing, and of course from the people. And i think the trip was not really what many of us thought it would be, but yet i think it has been so much more than i thought it could be as well.
Yes sure the lodgings for our first hotel sucked, but i loved every minute of freezing our hands together while using the tap, sleeping on gross beds and complaining, dropping my underwear in the middle of the entire road while running to mr toh's toilet -.-, practising in the lovely acoustics of the dining table, waking up every morning and ending the evening with almost exactly the same food. And i'll miss so much the little bit of beautiful scenery of barcewo, the school children, Kamil! =DD and omg that late bus ride turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I think the memories on our cameras would have pwns any souvenirs we could have bought during the free time in uh the next place we were going (where ah?)
Well even though we didn't really have much time for like anything else other than eating sleeping and singing, look at what all of us here miss most. The people. Right? And just the whole experience. I mean i don't think it really matters that what we went through wasn't really very exciting, or fun since we always got scolded quite often and stuff, but the point is that we went through it together, and well. I don't really know how to put it but just the whole thing, doing it together with friends whom i love is really just enough to make me so super happy and emo at the same time.
And gosh, to the batch of 07/08. I think it's just so so amazing how we've managed to reach this point in so short a time. I mean starting out from J1s where it was just so awkward and cliquey, with the RGS choir side, the RV side, and the poor random souls in the middle, we've really bonded through all the various stuff, especially caroling, which omg.. And then all the things and camps and exchange that we've planned together, the welcoming of the J1s, concert, and now just the trip that ended. I think it's very hard to put here everything that we've gone through, because it really is impossible. It just comes from the everyday, the mornings at the tables, every prac, whether good or bad, scoldings from mr toh, resolutions to sing better, and i think ultimately the love for chorale and for singing and everything. It's just so heartwarming and i don't know if i'll ever be able to find something like this again. Which is why i think i'm so super sad because i mean the trip is sort of signalling the 'end' in a way. So we musn't ever let it end okay? We must always treasure the memories and never lose them, and keep together.
For now, there's the studies and the exams to worry about, and i think that pisses us off even more haha. But oh wellz, hopefully next time we can come back and do something together again. Just like the batch of 1999 did. They came back and did a concert 2 years after they graduated. And ironically their theme song was 'born to sing', the same song we did last year (which we all hated but whatever).
Anyway it's been a really long/short? journey but trust me when i say that i've enjoyed every single minute of it and i really don't want it to end. But like my dad always tells me that everything we do will come to an end one day, and all we can do it just to enjoy it while we have it, and i'm really glad that i did, that i really enjoyed every single moment i've spent with chorale, with all of you who've made this whole JC journey so so enjoyable and so memorable.
Aiya okay i know this post isn't as emo as many of the others out there who've blogged about trip, but my point is that at the end of the day, i think we managed to nail the whole thing, and i walk away feeling very very proud of everyone here. And that, is my greatest take away.
